PGA Championship 2023: This club pro might have the best logo in all of sports

May 19, 2023

If you're a tour pro and you don't have your own logo, are you even a tour pro? Seriously, almost every golfer now has their own symbol no matter what their career resume looks like. It's all about your #brand these days. And on Thursday at the 2023 PGA Championship we learned this even extends to the club pros out there.

To be clear, this crop of 20 guys aren't your typical club pros. Yes, most of them have a home club where they work and give lessons, but they're also playing a pretty extensive tournament schedule throughout the year. And they're great players as evidenced by the fact that usually at least one of them makes the cut each year at the PGA, their annual chance to rub shoulders with the best players on the planet.

Unfortunately, Kenny Pigman won't be one of those sticking around for the weekend after a Thursday 81 that included him getting plunked by an errant shot from Bryson DeChambeau. Talk about a tough day at the office. But the 34-year-old head pro at Arrowhead Country Club in San Bernardino can still lay claim to possibly having the best logo in the game. Shout-out to The Action Network's Jason Sobel for bringing this to our attention:

OK, so maybe it's not the best, but it's certainly the funniest. And the most perfect. It's part pig, part man. It's a pigman, like the mythical person Kramer saw in that "Seinfeld" episode.

Good job by whoever came up with that design. And great job by Kenny to lean into this.
